The 1st China-Central and Eastern European Countries Expo, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government , opened in the city of Ningbo on June 8. Assistant Minister of Commerce Wang Bingnan attended and addressed the opening ceremony and officials of Zhejiang Province and Ningbo city as well as officials above ministerial level from central and eastern European countries also attended the activity.
In the afternoon, the China-Central and Eastern European Countries Cooperation and Development Forum, jointly held by the Ministry of Commerce and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government and undertaken by the Trade Development Bureau of MOFCOM and Ningbo Municipal People’s Government, was successfully held in the city of Ningbo. The State Councilor Yang Jiechi, Vice Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ministerial Meeting and Vice Premier of Republic of Montenegro Milo tended and addressed the opening ceremony. China International Trade Representative (ministerial level) Zhong Shan presided over the opening ceremony and the Governor of Zhejiang Province Li Qiang and Assistant Minister of Commerce Wang Bingnan attended the ceremony.
After the opening ceremony, Assistant Minister Wang Bingnan chaired the forum. Themed on “jointly building a new system of win-win cooperation, starting new opportunity for win-win cooperation”, the forum has attracted about 600 people from governmental departments and business circle of China and central and eastern European countries. Before the opening ceremony, State Councilor Yang Jiechi visited the attending foreign guests.
The Expo’s serial activity--the 2nd Central and Eastern European Countries Products Exhibition opened on June 9. China International Trade Representative (ministerial level) and Vice Minister of Commerce Zhongshan had a special trip to Ningbo International Exhibition Center before the opening ceremony to inspect the preparatory work, Assistant Minister of Commerce Wang Bingnan and officials from Zhejiang province as well as guests from central and eastern European countries also surveyed the exhibition on its opening day.
Director-general of Trade Development Bureau of MOFCOM Sun Chenghai also attended the above activity.
