Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 223,330 mt in April this year, increasing 77.21 percent compared to March and up 70.74 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistic (PFBS). The value of these imports in April was $68.69 million, increasing by 23.85 percent month on month and up 48.14 year on year.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in April amounted to 176,514 mt, decreasing by 22.52 percent on year-on-year basis and down 27.75 percent compared to the previous month. In the month in question, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $126.74 million, decreasing by 23 percent year on year and by 34.35 percent month on month.
