Total export values and quantities: the total export values and quantities of Chinese sodium bicarbonate maintained the trend of growth from 2009 to 2011, which increased significantly in 2011. The export value and quantity were up 40.6% and 46.6% respectively.
Average export unit price: in the past 3 years, the average export unit price of Chinese sodium bicarbonate continuously increased, up 10% year on year in 2010 in comparison with 2009. The growth rate of 2011 was higher than that of 2010, with a rise of 28.8% year on year.
Export seasonal variations: according to export quantity and value monthly trends, the export quantity of February was the lowest, and the second half of the year was little higher than the first half of the year.
Export markets: sorted by export value in 2011, the top ten countries/regions were South Korea, Indonesia, Namibia, Thailand, Japan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Taiwan (China), Australia and India, which occupied 72.8% of the total export values of Chinese sodium bicarbonate in sum. According to the changes of the market shares, in the past 3 years, the proportions of South Korea, Indonesia, Japan and Malaysia's export values for Chinese sodium bicarbonate grew continuously, which increased 7.9%, 2.9%, 1% and 0.8% respectively in 2011 compared to 2009. In addition, in recent 2 years, the proportion of Namibia's export data also increased significantly, with a rise of 5.9% year on year in 2010 in comparison with 2009. The proportion in 2011 was with a small drop, but it still ranked the third place. What's more, the proportions of Thailand and India's export values for Chinese sodium bicarbonate declined continuously, which dropped 1.4% and 3.4% respectively in 2011 compared to 2009.
In conclusion, in 2011, the export quantity and value of Chinese sodium bicarbonate grew significantly and the average export unit price increased sharply. According to export data monthly trends, the export quantity of February was the lowest, and the second half of the year was little higher than the first half of the year. In the influence of the global economic environment in 2012, the export condition of Chinese sodium bicarbonate was not optimistic, but the growing trend of the average export unit price was obvious.
In the field of export market, the export data for Germany, Indonesia and Japan was good relatively; the proportions for South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and Namibia's market share grew better relatively, but the export conditions for Thailand and India were serious relatively. The growing trend of market concentration was obvious year by year. Sorted by export value in 2011, the top ten countries occupied 72.8% of the export markets for Chinese sodium bicarbonate, with a rise of 11.1% compared to 2009.
