Plastic packaging manufacturer Amcor Rigid Plastics will sponsor for the America Recycles Day 2013, a national initiative of the US-based non-profit organization Keep America Beautiful.
The manufacturer will join Anheuser-Busch, the Johnson & Johnson Family of Consumer Companies, and Waste Management as national sponsor for the event scheduled to be held on 15 November 2013.
Under the program, Amcor plans to conduct an event at 11 of its US sites to increase co-worker knowledge and educate local communities about the importance of recycling.
Amcor Rigid Plastics sustainability global manager Charlie Schwarze said the company's partnership is in line with its core values of social responsibility and teamwork, and is a key to engaging its co-workers, local communities, and customers on the importance of recycling.
"Involvement in our communities leading up to and on America Recycles Day will allow us to share our collective recycling knowledge with a wider audience while promoting the recyclability of the products we sell," Schwarze said.
