TATA Steel has launched a pitch for a public affairs and corporate agency just weeks after the firm announced UK job cuts.

The Indian owned steel manufacturer is understood to have issued a brief last week that called on agencies to provide an initial response by 13 December.

A spokesman for TATA Steel confirmed initial discussions had taken place with agencies but declined to give further information about the brief.
